Armor TL review from a video game designer

Hi, I work for Activision/Blizzard and purchased an Armor TL PC for home gaming and for working at home. I must say that this is by far the best system I have ever owned or used. (that includes my monster 8 core at work).

I have tested the following games with no lag or delay: Call of Duty (1-WaW), Dead Space, Quantum of Solace, World of Warcraft, and Lord of the Rings. I ran a 25 man raid in OS on World of Warcraft the other night and experienced ZERO lag or slow down. I was moving freely avoiding the lava waves while others were getting killed due to the lag on their own systems and their inability to move quickly when their framerate was very low.

I recommend these systems for anyone who is a serious gamer or is looking for a great system for their home needs.

When I had this system delivered to my office, my co workers were swarming around it like flies.

Thanks to Doghouse systems and to Archie for making this purchase very enjoyable.

I love how my little internet world interconnects. I've been on duty for several days so I wasn't home, but I heard about your post when listening to the Power of Information podcast. I come home and here it is. I know it is a simple thing but it makes me smile.

And yes, those core i7 rigs have me wanting to setup the ES as my wife's computer and get a TL for me. That way no one is on my aging laptop and feeling deprived.
Can SC2 come out already?

What major would video game design and computer graphic design be listed under? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I don't know a better place. What would that major be considered? I want to get into video game design, animation, and computer graphic design, but I'm not sure what the proper term for that is called. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

This may sound odd, so please no laughing...lol. What I went to college for was chemistry (worked in a pharmacy for 14 years) Many people I work with have art degrees, some were draftsmen, and everything else you can think of. A few people here went to trade schools for video game design. A LOT of people here, including myself, bought the video games on PC and started making mods from the tools that these game companys released. I had a knack for it and made levels at home in my spare time. I started getting emails from people asking me to make them levels for cash. After about 2 years and 15 levels that I created for mods, I was hired by a video game company and have been here for 3 and a half years.

I would look at the posts for jobs at a specific company you are interested in and see what they require for employment. I must say though, their minimum requirements are usually higher than what you actually need as far as education. They want people that are talented and learn their software and have a fun time doing it. If you can make something on the computer that is "visually stunning" then you already have a foot in the door.
